Thanks for all this answers guys!!! Very interesting. I knew there was something about the "undocumented express" that wasn't right. Other thing that I didn't mention this time is about the input jack. In the Dave Hunter book Kenny said that he didn't like those cliff jacks because they were noisy, he though using those jacks were a "compromise" in the komet design and this express has that jack which was to me kinda strange. Maybe that jack was there because a tech trying to troubleshoot the oscillation decided to rewired the jack and was more familiar with cliff.
who knows? what is still interesting to me is the wiring of the heaters in Francesca. I think Glen had said before that his express has them out of phase too.

Yeah, it's correct now- but the first several layouts I did were wrong by following the Franny pics exactly. Long since corrected.....mac0611 wrote:Hi everyone! Question, Is the Ron Worley Layout with regards to the bright switch wiring the "correct way" or the fransesca way? thanks

Also note the the current layout has an error- the 500pf brite cap is incorrectly labeled C8, should be C6....
I will correct this error this weekend.... dammit, there's always something!

That's the negative side to posting your DIY projects, you'll spend the rest of your life answering other peoples questions and fixing mistakes (yours and theirs). Not always a bad thing but time is not on my side right now so most of my projects that I'd love to post have to go on the backburner..

Uhhh, you could always post them and let people figure it out. Sometimes that's the fun of the whole DIY learning experience, figuring out what's not quite right.Cliff Schecht wrote:That's the negative side to posting your DIY projects, you'll spend the rest of your life answering other peoples questions and fixing mistakes (yours and theirs). My negative opinion comes more from my experiences over at DIYstompboxes where I've been a member for years. I've seen quite a few heavy hitters call it quits because so many people talk crap about their circuits and ask questions expecting instant answers.
