Liverpool Tube Recomendations?

Post by Gibsonman63 »

What tubes do you guys recommend? I had really good luck with NOS Tungsgram 12AX7 and Siemens EL34's in my Express. I don't want to spend stupid money, but I don't mind ponying up for something better than new production tubes.

I realy like the russian equivalents 6p14p-ev.
Got some to use as test tubes for initial fire up of a liverpool & they are still in there. Price is right too.

Oh Yeah
I love them. There is something ballsy about those tubes
I actually have a mix in my Liverpool currently
One JJ per p/p side and one 6p14p per side

Not sure if that is "allowable" but sure as hell sounds great.

I found the JJ's to break up too soon for my taste and the Russians stayed clean longer so I mixed them

Love it!

.........Now where did I put it?
