Well either that amp's tone sucks, or he is a poor manager of his money. And Distortion, why are fish flying across Cher's face in your Avatar?

I can't speak for Matte's money managing skills but I do know his guitar skills are quite impressive.
Due to the fact he has recorded on and produced quite a few songs I have a strong feeling this particular Trainwreck does not Suck Tone.

Regarding my avatar, the face is not Cher, and the flying creatures are not Fish..

As cool as it would be to have a real express, I'd really have to go with the 27g's. 8) Phil

It's obvious why we run-of-the-mill players build these things ourselves.
If somebody has built Da Thang in time it can and will be reproduced if Da Thang isn't conjured by The Mighty Wizard of Oz. Period.

Hey man If you can cough up 27 LARGE, you can have Nancy all to yourself-legs spread, or whatever!! I personally would be overjoyed to twiddle her knobs for a while, make her squeal with delight, and then take a closer look between her legs! Too bad KF never got paid that kind of moolah for his creations. But they will live on.. MDW[/b]

It seems you missed all of the points of my post. If the seller believes the amp he is selling has a tone worth the price he is asking, how can he part with it unless he has knocked up someone with an incredible lawyer? If he does not believe its tone is so endowed, (and therefore is willing to dump it)how can he screw a buyer so? Either way, I have no respect for him regardless of how well he can noodle on a fretboard. You seem to indicate that because he can noodle extrordanaire that his ignorance or larceny is ok with you. How sad is that? ? Since when does a box of paper clips become a mega-million dollar investment? It's like JFK's cigar humidor selling for thousands. Nothing but rich A'holes and unscrupluous sellers are involved. This is a total act of larceny if I've ever seen one and anyone involved is scum.

Bnwitt, got your point the first time. Does that make me odd?

Well, you remember the allegory about opinions and A-holes? If somebody thinks KF design will rocket in value he'll buy it as an investment. Everybody who thinks it's cool to brag with a 27K amp can do as he or she pleases - even if we think the buyer or seller is an A-hole.

We should be discussing the merits and shortcomings of KF amp, not people. Right? Let A-holes be A-holes and let there be rock.

Cheers,

Bucker

I am not here to defend or condem anyone who is attempting to sell an amp.
I was merely mentioning that a "Professional Musician" who has owned several original Trainwrecks was the owner of this particular amp.
This is merely a case of supply and demand. If the amp will sell for 27K then it is worth it to someone.

I hardly think a guy is a scumbag for getting 25k for his amp. He is probably selling it cause he is a good guitar player that can get by with something else just as well (Komet Concorde anyone?).

I know all things are safe and cozy here on the internet but there are real people behind the screens man and you should watch that acidic lip of yours. Making some money for a better life for your family via selling something to someone with a large disposable income, is hardly A-Holish or scummy.

Just cause you can't afford one does not mean you gotta take a big dump on everyone that can. You think that this amp should go for short money when there are only a few of them with no more being made? Get real.
