After lurking forever, I need to jump in and build something!

Can I "wreck" this and turn it into a little amp head:

I posted this in the tube talk section to get other ideas too, but can this become a little mini-wreck?

If so, I need to learn a bit before I start soldering so I don't get zapped

Well, the tone stack IS hangin' off the first gain stage!

Honestly, that's a real cool preamp you've got there, with the power pentode and all...I may have to build me one of these! Thanks for posting the schematic.

If think if this was mine, I would limit my experiments to some different cathode bypass arrangement(s) and see how it sounds. I'm sure one of the more experienced TW gurus here will have some more clever ideas as far as turning into a "head". Another pentone=mini rocket?

Yes, it looks like a cool little box that could be built up a little to get decent results.
I like the metal cage style.

First thing I'd look at is full-wave-bridging the power supply.
There's almost no excuse for voltages that low in a device running off of AC mains that uses standard type tubes.
It's hard to judge by the photos how big the transformers are, particularly the output, but it should be good for (maybe) a couple watts.

[BTW, there's not enough holes there for this to ever be any kind of true "Wreck" so for now I'll stick with using the lower case "w".]

If you want to punch more socket holes, and possibly add larger transformers, you can increase your options quite a bit.

PLEASE familiarize yourself with safety procedures and potential hazards
that are present with even these moderately low voltages.

It's essentially a Epiphone Valve Jr. Many vintage amps have this same basic circuit topology; I think the Gibson G-5 is one of them, and perhaps a Kalamazoo of some type. You can make a few mods, but the possibilities are limited save for hot rod-ing the input tube circuit.

You can make a few mods, but the possibilities are limited , particularly with those low voltages. I doubt of the PT would handle higher voltages/current. I'd keep it stock and use it as a stomp box ...
