Hey, I'm new here and I have some questions...

1.I live in Europe, so I'm going to order this transformer:

Primary: 230 V

Secondary: 1. 6.3 V, 8 A
2. 585 - 0 - 585 V (BUT I'm advised that this should be 290-0-290, why is that?),
how many amperes?

And for the OT:

Primary: 5,6 K
Secondary: 4, 8, 16 Ohms

2. Is this ok?

JJ/Tesla 12AX7 and EL34s.

Carbon comp or carbon film resistors, 1W at plates, wirewounds at 25W R25, 5 W @ R 26, 27, 28, everywhere else 0.5 W?

3. If it's 230 V, is it still 2A slow-blow fuse?

4. Is 60 W OT enough?

Your question about the correct voltages in your transformer secondaries has me thinking that maybe something didn't come out right.

A 585-0-585 secondary voltage would not work and more importantly would be cause for extreme concern for your safety.

If you have time to read through some of the new and old posts here at this web site you will find everything required to understand what is needed and how to put one of these amps together. There are lots of knowledgeable people that will be able to answer your questions as you sort though the posts and get familiar with Trainwreck amps.

Are you sure you don't have 585VCT which is 292-0-292
