CMA awards

Post by angelodp »

Ok lets see how many great amps show up on the CMA awards tonight. Paisley should have his Express out there. If you spot something worth mentioning maybe post it here. And all those great guitars and crazy good pickers.

Paisley had the zwreck in the opening of the show and 2 ac30s later in the show.

I seen someone with a albert lee guitar that was a rare thing. Usally u see les pauls and strats. Not many teles anymore on stage theres only 3 guys u can count on really paisley , urban and gill.

I saw an interview with Keith Urban where he was sitting next to a Dumble.
Funny, he didn't mention it.

I didn't know Brad had an Express. I know he has a Liverpool. Can't see him using an Express for his style. Keith has an Express tho....Nancy...

Yep, Keith got Nancy from Matte Henderson.

Brad has (had?) a Liverpool (Hattie Mae '86) and apparently has a Rocket now, which seems way more his style given his AC30 leanings.

I can't imagine him ever using an Express.

It doesn't look like he's plugged into either of those amps, or that either of those amps are on.

Cool video, thanks for posting that Mark. He's "playing" through the ZWreck and Bruno Underground, although as was mentioned, he's not plugged into them. Cranked, they would probably be too loud for the studio LOL. Man he is getting some great tone about 9:30 in...(playin' the sh!t out of it!).

Kind of similar to when I saw him on his last tour. He had two Z amps on stage sitting on 2x12 cabs. I was far enough away that I couldn't tell if he was plugged into them. I do know they were not mic'ed.

He didn't have any pedals or controllers on the floor then either. Someone else was switching for him off stage, which leads me to believe he always has his "plugged in" amps off stage with his effects. I suspected the two amps on stage were for stage volume, but now I'm thinking they may just be for eye candy.

Hey Capn,

Check out this video if you haven't seen it already:

Indeed Paisley's tech Chad is a busy fellow off stage. Says he runs about four amps and is switching them in and out. In that David Letterman appearance, you can definitely hear other amps depending on the song. I heard what sounds like a Stangray on that first song, had that squeaky clean chime and spank.
