Well I just completed the amp upgrade to a Wreck type layout and so far I am very happy. The amp is a little hiss (white noise) which I think maybe attributed to the carbon film resistors that I used. But the tone is very edgy and in your face. It gets loud very fast. Sure sounds better than the donor amp.
Here are a couple of pictures of the completed amp. I know, the graphics are a little hokey (and kind of a ripoff of Fuchs, sorry Andy I couldn't resist... Scott made me do it ).
I will post some clips when I have some time with no family at the house.
Looking good. I saw your other post, and I agree - my semi-Liverpool's tone controls aren't too effective once the amp is cooking. But the basic tone is so good, I stopped worrying about it!
I've got an Express clone in the pipeline, and I may try a Vox-style 'Cut' control on that. In fact I should lash one up to the semi-Liverpool first...
Anyway, can't wait to hear your clips

I had a chance tonight to crank the amp up a little. Holy cow, that is the loudest, rudest and rawest amp I have ever heard. But it is sounds GREAT. My youngest son is wanting to give back his D-clone I built for him for this new amp. When do I get to keep one?? I have not tried it with a tele yet, but I think it will rip my head off. Anyone have an airbrake schematic? ( ).
I will record a few clips this weekend.
