Coming from a essentially non guitar player background, I tend to agree with Cliff that mostly resistance is resistance, capacitance is .. - and so on. I sometimes have the same problems here , wrapping my head around that mojo thing, as I have in the HiFi camp, and their version of the Mojo - mostly called tone nirvana in that camp - all from changing certain components with blessed ones, or baptised in lambs blood , or whatever ......
There's even a guy pushing some magic $$$$ varnish that I believe would open everything up tho unbelievable heights if you used that on some of tehse beautiful T-wreck cabs shown around here! That is , if I believe the sales info ..... '8)'

However - sitting at work tonight, partly idling, waiting for some US phone calls, I dug out my cap meter and a handful of pots - new and old...
Measuring between the pot shielded body and the outer lugs, they range from about 8 to 12 pF. Touching them increase the reading about 10 %....
Given that the coupling cap feeding the treble pot top is listed as 50pF for the Rocket and the Liverpool, but 500 pF for the Express stack.......the compensation cap aorund the volume pot is 100 pF.....
The odd 10pF may just do something - maybe not dramatically, but stil.....

Unfortunately my sim setup at work is down for the time being, and I nedd to upgrade my whole deisgn package, I cannot sim these variations.
It would be interesting, though, if someone with good sim experiance would actually do some sim's here , - pulling the odd resistance here , - adding some stray caps to ground.... ??????
