Thanks for the note. These days for the most part I use D'Addario 10s, and that would go for all my recent era videos. The "ELX110" set. However I'm pretty sure back when I recorded my CD I was using GHS Nickel Rocker 10s on my strat. Just recently I tried GHS Nickel Rocker 10s again on my strats and GHS Burnished Nickel 10s for the Les Paul and liked the results. GHS tend to have just a bit more string tension than D'Addario strings which I like and the nickel strings are a little darker. On a practical note the D'Addarios work well and though they can be a bit bright they are always easy to find.
Yep another thing I do to darken the guitar when using a Trainwreck amp! Though I use the same strings no matter what amp I'm playing.
