Reverb Rocket?

For those of you have built reverb Rockets, is the sound changed much when you put a reverb circuit in? I know I want reverb but the question is will the dry tone change less if I just use a pedal?

I only have one data point, but my first impression is that the amp is exactly the same when I dial out the reverb. I think this makes sense with so little changed from the original circuit.

The reverb really adds a lot... is it better than the best pedal money can buy? - I dunno. It is definitely a good sounding reverb though, reminds me of the old Fenders. I'll have to get somebody to come over and play surfer music and then we'll really know.

I have only taken the reverb out of the circuit once and didn't notice any difference from my non reverb Rocket.

I like the reverb circuit so much I had to build a 100 w version. As much as I like my two 6L6 version, my four 6L6 100watter really makes me smile.

Is the a good schematic/layout for this? And which tank would you guys suggest?

I went with what was recommended which was Accutronics 8AB2A1B Reverb Tank (short tank, medium delay) and Hammond 1750A reverb tranny.
