Has anybody by chance used BC Components 2222368 series caps in their builds? They're the only polyester orange drops I have easy access to and I'm wondering if they're worth a try.
Thanks!
Tobias

Re: BC Components 2222368 series caps
They're designed for PCB mounting and have very small lead lengths just a few milimeters..
They just about work on those tag boards cornford use, hence why cornford use these capacitors.
I've used them for the presence control 0.1uF as they're nice and small and the weight of them doesn't put them under much stress mechanically.
They sound fine to me but aren't really the same type of capacitor as the polyester od's found in wrecks.

www.audiocap.co.uk - have the 6PS series and much cheaper than importing from the USA if you're in germany.
Re: BC Components 2222368 series caps
those are MKT and not the same type of cap as 6PS (metallized polyester vs. polyester). (I think there may have been more than one but those appear basically as the successor to the Philips "tropical fish" caps which are MKT.) If you are in Europe maybe look for Philips KT(polyester)--not sure if they are still made though (mustard color and same shape as the MKT but since not metallized a bit bigger physically). IMO I don't think there will be a big difference if at all and the value will be more noticable and significant (also consider tolerances).
