I have a MiniWatt made in Australia, it has an octagon with 12AX7 in it,
other info on the tube is: I6 9L , the 9L is printed just under the I6 .
the letters OD in a small circle under the Octagon, and 1/2 in a small circle near the pin end on the tube.
Can some one help with Datting this tube.

A picture is worth a thousand letters.
Seriously, post some clear close ups and I'm sure someone here can ID it.

I6
9L
Typical pre-1956 Philips code, translates to:
TT, tube type I6 = ECC83
FM, 9 = Philips Heerlen (Netherlands), L = manufactured in September 1948, 1951 or 1954
OD and 1/2 = ?

FYI - That's interesting info but then I have to say it is also rebranded. I say this because the octogon with the tube type printed within it is all USA Tung Sol.
Most people stall out when fixing a mistake that they've made. Why?
Re: MiniWatt 12 AX7 Date, Help
The octagon was used by RCA and affiliates. The Miniwatt (Philips) brand was used in Oz by Amalgamated Wireless Valve Co, mainly trading under the Radiotron (RCA) brand. Hence Radiotron Miniwatt...That's interesting info but then I have to say it is also rebranded. I say this because the octogon with the tube type printed within it is all USA Tung Sol.
