Pout(class AB push pull)=(Va^2)/Ra_a=
=(486*486)/5800=40.7W

so we need a 40/45Wrms ouput transofrmer?
could anyone confirm me that?>>

Jaxx your correct on the equation; however, this amp was designed to run the 5k8 rather than the 4k one would have chosen.

486*486/60=3936.6

Go ahead and use 4k and report back. I used what the original design called for and very happy with the results.

The K50 used a different OT 4k8

this may will be my next project.

so, if i correctly understand, you use the 4k one, to have about 60W output.
everywhere 5k8, 4k8 or 4k are not the problem.

Vbb*Vbb/Ra_a is not the properly/accurate formule to have the exactly power output but have similar results.

i hope this amp, so like your build too, is less complicated to build (with good results) rather the tw express one.
a ''similar'' tw amp but less sophisticated.

i think you know what i mean.
