weird intermittent static and unusually glowing EL84 Liverpo

here is what seems to be an unusual and intermittent problem happening on my liverpool clone.

of the 4 el84s, i notice one of them glows significantly brighter than the other 3 and that glow gets dim when I play...

i've also noticed this weird static problem that I thought was a volume pot on my guitar, but it only happens with the wreck.. the problem is that it is intermittant...

could these be related?

Move the tube to a different socket to see if the problem follows the tube or stays with that socket.

The static may be built up static electricity on your pickguard.
This happens in areas where low humidity causes static build up.

About the only remedy I have heard of is to take a fabric softener sheet (Bounce) and rub it over the pickup guard a few times.

Rinse and repeat.
