Bias tap question.......

Post by ricks57custom »

Hi all,
I am having Heyboer make me a PT with a Bias Tap. However, I'm not sure what voltage it should be. I'm making Version A4 of the amp I was hoping someone could help me out. Is there an equation I can do to figure it out?

Thanks,
Rick

Wow, no replies. :(

I went ahead and ordered a Heyboer tranny with a 70 volt bias tap. I figure I don't want the bias too low to use and I can adjust via resistors if it's too high.

Did I ask a stupid question or was this no one has had to deal with?

Rick,
Sorry that no one has replied. Wish I could help, but I'm not sure either. I used the B+ for my bias tap.
