OK, I moved the black wire to the tip of the fuse and the death cap is out. I think that will work great.

Three different wiring options?

1) Black to switch with death cap

2) Black to switch without death cap

3) Black to tip of fuse with death cap

They both go to the switch. Its a 6 pin switch and the wires are both on the middle pins opposite of each other. I shouldn't go to the same spot where the old wires are soldered?
