Re: So, I played a Dumble yesterday...

I want to reiterate that the gentleman at the booth, if he is the owner, was very gracious and cool with us. At the time that the demos were offered, they may have thought they would be in a quiet room or area; as quiet as things get at NAMM. They may have requested a quiet area and the floor coordi...

So, I played a Dumble yesterday...

...at the Winter NAMM Show. It was an Overdrive Special, #094. The experience was very much like having the opportunity to drive a Ferrari but being limited to taking a test drive around the corner in a residential neighborhood. In other words the venue was completely inappropriate and essentially r...

Re: D-Manuals

The Schwartz book does not contain any technical information, including schematics or manuals. It's basically a collection of photographs with anecdotes about the amp when possible, along with a few interviews and reviews. I don't think they're sold through that website any longer but they were bein...

Re: Robben Ford Dumble Amp(s)

I'm interested in getting a D-styled clone at some point. I have a fairly heavy pick attack, playing syncopated funk & R&B chords primarily in my rhythm playing. Same with lead...I have an aggressive attack at times, using pinch harmonics to accent my phrases and a lot of vibrato. I tend to bend up ...

Re: Two Rock/Dumble schematics

You've never played a boutique amp, you know no difference between Dumbles or TwoRock models, you know nothing about building amps...yet you've played everything out there and you've determined that none of them have the cleans and tonal range of a TwoRock or a Dumble..? Guys, I think someone is pul...

Re: SRV Daytona Concert

It's also cool to listen to Albert and Freddie King and hear how much of their playing style Stevie borrowed. If you've ever learned SRV licks then you probably inadvertently also learned some Freddie/Albert King stuff ;). Very true! I had the good fortune to see Albert King perform before he passe...

Re: Introducting Myself

Thanks re my custom guitar. I feel really fortunate to own it. It has a fat "D" shaped neck that actually rumbles when a chord is strummed as if its electrified...great sustain, and the flat radius makes bending notes a joy. I'm having another one built by the same builder that will feature a fiddle...

Introducting Myself

I just realized that I jumped into the forum without a proper introduction. My name is Glenn and I live in LA. I found this forum while Googling info on Dumble amps. I had been checking out Ceriatone and doing my homework on the company, and now I'm familiar with so many others who also offer their ...

Re: Wood Porn (SFW)

Thanks...I believe its a poly finish...that maple had a natural stain (sapwood?) that gave it a golden amber hue when cleared but it's au natural. Cocobolo can be tough to finish. The guitar was made by Neal Moser of Moser Custom Shop, Prescott Valley, AZ. It was finished by Dan Lawrence of DLR Grap...

Re: Wood Porn (SFW)

Thats shweet!. Is the fret board cocobolo too? The body looks like it has a lighter face on it. How does it sound vs a maple neck? Darker? John Thanks. The fretboard is African Blackwood...body has a quilt maple carved top. It's a 25" scale so it's relatively warmer than a Strat-scale maple neck bu...

Re: Dumble Bluesmaster

Wow, was completely unaware of that website. Thanks for sharing. I notice they're not directly affiliated with or employed by Nik...are they members here? Allow me to clarify my original question...I understand you guys aren't here to push Ceriatone products and are probably tired of the typical "Te...

Re: Dumble Bluesmaster

I'm not a builder nor am I trolling to stir up some old s__t. I'm just a regular guy in CA who plays guitar as a hobby and am fortunate enough to own some very nice custom guitars...by "nice," I don't necessarily mean "expensive" but nice for ME...LOL. Unique pieces that I wanted to complement with ...

Dumble Bluesmaster

Hey guys... Does anyone know which Dumble amp the Ceriatone HRM Bluesmaster is based upon? Is it a clone of a specific amp? I'm asking because I'm contemplating doing a Ceriatone build and the 50 watt HRM Bluesmaster seems to be the one I'm most drawn to...and I'm just interested in getting as much ...
