Re: Amp Cradles: make one or buy one?
I saw this older thread about Amp Cradles and thought I'd post a set of plans for one that I'm getting ready to build.
Seems pretty cool.
Enjoy!

Re: 50W transformer set
I typically use the 290DX and 1750M from http://www.radiodaze.com/ in my builds. Great prices and free shipping! I use the 5V tap into a voltage doubler and then a 7808 voltage regulator to power the relays. This works great! Richard I liked that site except I didn't see free shipping, although it ...

That's good to know, I just went with the 290DX.IcemanB52 wrote:I looked at the data sheets from hammond, but the difference between the normal unit and the upgraded one wasn't obvious (atleast to me).

Re: Ceriatone Bluesmaster 50w trannies
Tubes and more (Antique electronics) is the retail version of CE Distribution. That's cool, that's where I ordered my PT(290DX) and choke(194B). They didn't have the 4,8,16 ohm secondary OT so I ordered that from Triode(40-18001). Oh yeah I forgot to add that Tubes and More have FREE SHIPPING! On $...

Re: Hammond Xfmers
I typically use the 290DX and 1750M from http://www.radiodaze.com/ in my builds. I haven't seen any conclusive information that the Mercury's sound better. If you do a search, I'm sure you'll find several threads on this topic. Cheers, Richard Have you ever used the 291DX? It's suppose to be an upg...

I think I may go with this PT: http://www.mojotone.com/amp-parts/Power_2/BF-Bassman-Super-Rev-Vibroverb-Mojo-Pro-Super-Power-EX Question #1: Why does the above export BF Bassman PT have the 3.15's and the 5v and the 120v BF Bassman have 6v @4A, and 5v @4A...? Question #2: How close do the specs have...

Re: Ceriatone Bluesmaster 50w trannies
I really don't want to buy the mercury magnetics because IMO they're overpriced. I'm not trying to go cheap on transformers I just haven't heard anything that tells me MM are any better for the price. That being said, I'd really like to go with Magnetic Components but I'm still totally confused abou...
