I found out today.....

I had a JTM 60 and I thought it had great tone.....but I never cranked the gain past 6....not into buzz saw distortion.....I like the sound of that power amp working....Whats better snubber resisters or diodes........Probably diodes......but I'd be curious about opinions from high gain amp builders.

No worries on the Lorlin switch. Hell, Kenny used them in his later amps. If money is no object, always go for the Goldhill rotary switches! I like their tiny rotary switches in guitars and F/X pedals. NASA likes 'em too. The in between priced mfg. would probably be the current Electroswitch models...
