No,the Carvin came with the EV in it.I tried my 4x12 with it too.Really nice! I know that Jim Seavall (Scumback Speakers) has stated before that the Celestions take many, many hours to break in. I have posted a few threads on the 124 I have been building and it is finished except the supply for the relays (temporarily using 9 volt batteries for testing).It sounds great.Absolutely without second thought,the best sounding amp I have ever owned!One final problem. VOLUME! It is not near as loud...

Cool,not trying to jack that thread but I am having the same problem. I made an error on the last post.I have the 4.7 /1uf/390 now and its way to dirty.At the high end of the pot it makes a quiet but very high pitched whistle.Like positive FB.I think Bob has explained this to me but it was some tim...

That will be easy to sub in values. Do you think it's best to leave the tail resistor at 390R when subbing in different NFB resistor values? The shunt resistor value 390 is usually fixed by the phase inverter design requirements, and the series resistor is then sized according to the desired amount...

Youre right.I tried a Fender type tone stack and one like the boogie mark II and either way it sounded pretty rough.Guess it just wasnt designed for that.I have put the PAB and Rock/Jazz switch back in.A little better.For some reason my bass and mid isnt working,the treble is acting like a tone cont...
