Re: Which delay/verb for using in the Dumblelator loop?
Lexicon MX400, really nice converters and it does not have the boosted upper mids of the TC products. Lots of horsepower too!

I'll see your 3" and raise you an inch to 4! With good 4" wheels on my gear I can roll through parking lots that are gravel or rock!

Lexicon
Lexicon MX 400 is what I'm using and I can't say enough about it, great converters and FX. Probably more than most ax men need (4 processors) but after using one heavily live for 2 years I just bought another. They can be had very reasonably now....

Ford's Tan w/green light w/no Dumble-ator
Just saw the Renegade Creation tour tonight, first time in a long time I've see Robben with the now tan amp using no Dumble-ator. Some FX on the floor but no rack w/2290. Sat 25 feet away and directly in front of the top speaker in his cab (matching) and was suprised that his tone was far less bitin...

Re: 100W non-HRM pièce de résistance
Got some transformers from him several years ago when he had stacks of 'em. Still have some from the Super twin (180 watt) that were also used in the 200w bass amp. Also have some Boogie 100w simul-class transformers I've been wanting to try, I really like the sound of my Simul 290 (2-6L6 and 2 -EL3...

I'm betting you've never played through a great Dumble clone, cauz if you ever do, your pedals will go in the trash.

Just had a customer pick up his 100W HRM, he had a fantastic array of pedals which he says are all going up for sale now! There really is no comparison.......

Re: 200W Steel String Singer Build--What PT?
I did some of those too! I had a Fender PS 400 w/six 4X12 cabs. That's what it took to properly load the OT w/3 secondary taps. The loudest, cleanest rig I ever heard! Holy moly! Six 412's !?! I'll bet your pants were waving in the wind, those would push a LOT of air! I had two of those heads, I th...

Re: 200W Steel String Singer Build--What PT?
Ouch. All this talk reminds me of Battle of the Bands venues in the '70s when we would borrow as many twin stack amps as possible to compete of loudest band bragging rights. Not recommended. Of course, if you're young enough to want to do that, you are certainly not going to listen to me - as if yo...

Re: 200W Steel String Singer Build--What PT?
Try the AN-4T360, it's720V CT @ 1.2a with two 6.3V windings @ 5amps each. I used a few to build 100W/ch stereo amps (4-6L6 per ch) for a customer and they turned out very nice. I also have some high watt projects down the road, several Super Twin OT's and some from the PS400!

Check these folks out for some reasonably priced toroids, from one that works for a D'lator to something that will work for this project.

Re: D'lator DVD conversion
"What I would like to do is build another ODS with the HRM controls on the front panel like a few builders here have done." Built and modded dozens of amps that way, I had the same idea many years ago after building several clones and have found that any of the two channel Fender amps (from the Delu...

Re: D'lator DVD conversion
Wow, thanks so much! I sold a suprising number of CD's (Live at Chris' Jazz Cafe in Philly) from my Myspace page and I will gladly sell one for $1.50 (including postage in the US) to anyone on this forum. Back to topic... I've been putting a lot of thought into a D'lator type device since getting ba...
