Lovely, that wood is the best ever for quiet or loud. It acts like a Super 400 facing two stacks when you hit about 95db! lol

Re: 1963 black face twin?
If the front and rear chassis panels are original on that amp then it’s a mid to late 1965 twin reverb . This can be confirmed by the Fender musical instruments labeling on front and rear. Before 65 the company was called fender electric instruments before its founder sold it to CBS. The first Fend...

Booyah. Totally awesome. Inspiration is the best. You will remember the days when you really convinced yourself. It's very satisfying. Protip: Bass frets. I use .008s, but still. I refret Strats with common Fender bass fret material. It plays like scallops. Rosewood is less touchy than maple. 1960 w...

Re: 6 string guitar and Thiele cabs
Sounds like a Balinese Highland Bell Organ! This is the answer to your problem. YOU NEED A PARAMETRIC EQ after the Ruby. I do not know of a modern unit that would be perfect, but a Rane PE-15 or 17 would change this thing into a delicate sledgehammer. At least 3 bands with h/l shelf. mmmm a couple p...

Re: Old modded 2205 help
I have a 2205 modded from the early 90s that has the preamp portion of the board cut out and it was turned into a single channel amp with no reverb. So have two extra preamp tube sockets empty waiting to be used. I was thinking something more plate driven possibly using more tubes and was wondering...

By this time, I am only surprised you didn't start on a mining forum and smelt the copper.. 200 processes later. DING! Artisan Monkey Wire.
Unless.. where have you been for the last few days, and do you have any pointers on replacing multi-layered wire insulation in-situ? Asking for a transformer.
