Re: Ceriatone OTS HRM compatible ot and pt's
Yes I am planning to do the 100 watt build. I didn't realise it needed the 6v tap either I guess I may just order the Pt from Nik. Thanks again I had the same delema but Nik let me pay him for the Mercurys and have them shipped from Mercury direct to me. This allowed his discount on the Mercury pri...

Re: 50W OTS bias setting
Thanks heisthl; As a newbie to amps, I really appreciate the contributions you and so many others have made to this forum. Although my amp started as a ceriatone kit, it has taken several twists due to this forum. I definitley would not have as smooth a tone without you guys input. Dennis p.s A redp...

Re: 50W OTS bias setting
I bought the trannys for the Ceriatone OTS 50 Watt from Mercury throug Nik at Ceriatone . Vi=pin 1,194;pin6 202;V2=pin1202;pin6 208;V3=pin 1,305;pin6,311.; Is this ballpark close. I was comparing to other new builds I found at ceriatone forum but I don't know their long term results or tonal qualiti...

Re: 50W OTS bias setting
Tom,
I believe the secondary B+ was 345v. I have about 12 hours on my TADs. They replaced a pair of SED's that redplated at about 8 hours. This is why I was concernd about my plates being 462v. What power tubes are you using?
Thanks
Dennis

Re: 50W OTS bias setting
Congratulations on your build Sixstringer. I just finished my Ceriatone OTs a few weeks ago and your question answered a lot of mine. I have been biasing correctly but my plate voltage at pin 3 is 462 volts. Do any of you think this is too high? If so, how would I lower this. I am using Mercury tran...

Red tip for DPDT toggle switches?
Does anyone know where to buy the red tips for the DPDT toggle switches? I am trying to add a little visual appeal.
Thanks

Thanks Ampdork. I thought I read something about that. No balance resistors on my schematic.

Re: Mercury PT filament wiring question
Thanks Structo. I thought I had it right but sure didn't want to short the Pt right from the first power up. It was posters such as yourself that encouraged me to make the plunge. I have built a few JTM type amps but have always chased the sound of the Dumble amps. Thank you and the many contributor...

Mercury PT filament wiring question
Thanks for helping a newbie in advance. Do I need to use the green wires for the filaments and are they 3.15 volts each or 6.3 volts each and do I ground the green/yellow center tap or just not use it. This is for a OTS 50 watt. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u187/oldpicker/Dumbleampclone002.jpg...

Re: Ceriatone Transformers experience?
I am a newbie but have learned so much. I am ready to build a 50 watt OTS. Which Heyboer transformers from www.mojotone. would be appropriate for a ceriatone 50 OTS?
Thanks
