Re: Express acting up!!
It's always been my understanding that with the pot's shaft pointing towards you and with the solder lugs down they are numbered 1, 2 & 3 from left to right.

Re: Signal capacitor choices
This same mod is called the fingernail polish mod on another forum. No cutting required. Just open up the pot and place a small drop of fingernail polish on the resistive element inside the pot where the pot's wiper would be when the pot is turned all the way up. It works great!

Re: Another chassis source ?
Since I haven't gotten a response I'm guessing that I can't get just a bare chassis. Are there any other options out there? Re: Another chassis source ?
Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm looking to buy a bare chassis without any holes. I prefer to machine my builds myself. I've built several amps using the Hammond 16x8x2 chassis. The iron for an Express will be heavier than any of my previous builds so a sturdier chassis made of heavier gauge...

Another chassis source ?
Where can I find a chassis to build an Express? I did some searching here on the forum and several threads recommend AmpBuildersParts.com. I went to the site and all I find under "chassis" are cast aluminum Hammond project boxes.
