Any good sources for a full size SSS chassis?
Hey guys, I'm looking to start snagging some parts to possibly start a SSS build. Some of the guys are doing them on what appears as a slightly larger than ODS sized chassis? I want the full-size SSS like SRV or EJ's...anyone selling a chassis? Dimensions?

Re: Dumble For sale
Serial #? Looks like a late '80s ODS, but I'm no expert. Nice rig nonetheless.

Re: My SSS completed!
Thanks Sergio! A few questions regarding the "accent" control. Any reason you went with a switch instead of a pot? I've seen various SSS builds that use either. Is it some sort of presense or cut control?
That's a very nice build, Sergio. Congratulations! We'd love to hear it.
BTW, can you update or post a schematic and/or layout that reflects what you built? It would be a worthy addition to the SSS info that was has been posted at TAG so far.
Re: My SSS completed!
Stunning work sir. You should be very proud of that craftsmanship. This is really making it tough to put off my SSS build any longer!

Re: My take on an SSS
Thanks Aaron! How do you like it? I hear it's a big clean poweramp with a smooth glassy tone, similar to the SSS. The rumor was that EJ used his Odyssey because the power of his SSS was too great for some venues and ended up preferring the sound. I wonder if he shouldn't have just asked HAD to build...

Re: My take on an SSS
I friggin' love the look and sound of your amp. Great job sir! Someday when funds allow I'd like to build a SSS/Odyssey hybrid similar to what EJ used back in the '80s...hopefully in the near future there will be more information available to allow such a build. Thanks for a known working and update...

Re: What about a Odyssey/SSS hybrid?
Thanks FFB! I've just been digesting the layouts for the last few days...definately more complicated than the Trainwreck and Marshall stuff I've experienced. Any reccomendations for iron? I'd like to get a few of the basic components and layout planned before really diving in.

What about a Odyssey/SSS hybrid?
I've been bouncing around the idea of attempting a one-off Dumble inspired build for a while now. My favorite Dumble tones were from Eric Johnson back in the days when he allegedly used an old Odyssey poweramp into his SSS. I've seen some of Aaron's great layouts for both SSS#2 and the Odyssey and w...

Re: New Rocket
I'm only what I am because of you, Dad. You taught me everything. You taught me the ways of life, how to avoid poverty, how to fish (which I actually love more than guitars, us Florida boys take our fishing seriously round here), and more importantly what great music sounds like. I had 15 years of g...

Or a shortcut to all three videos we shot today...man was I tired and sloppy. The tones were happening but unfortunately the mitts weren't cooperating. Thanks again for dropping those jewels by Pop, awesome tones for my neighbors to digest bwahahaha! http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t...

Pop you really outdone yourself on this one. Incredible amp inside and out.

Re: New Rocket
Wow, the amp really opened up yesterday! We had a chance to really put the amp through its paces and it sounded at least 30% better than on its initial fire-up. I'm fairly confident that I need one of these for myself, truly incredible sounding amplifiers. Just one question, do you guys have trouble...

Re: New Rocket
I'm Big Jim's son, what a great amp pop! You are right, the rocket circuit has wayyy more gain than I expected! (It IS a Trainwreck after all  ) With some single coils, you hear that wonderful headroom and chime...very Vox-meets-plexi Marshall. With a Les Paul I don't hear as much Vox but ins...
