Screen Resistors
I am looking at building a 100W 4 x 6L6 amp and am wondering about screen resistors. There are some various discourses to be found on the effect of varying values on the screen voltage, but I was wondering if someone has some input or opinion on their effect on tone. One highly regarded designer sug...

Re: My new Amp
Nice looking AMP. Can you post the schematics? Or at least, how the reverb is implemented?

Re: Redplate amps. Amazing tone
We had Ronnie Baker Brooks at eh Kitchener Blues Festival August 8 - he had his Red Plates and did they ever sound great. I had a friend take pics of his setup but don't have them yet. Will post when I get them if there's any interest. Also, Ronnie is a REALLY FINE gentleman to work with and has tal...

Re: New Bluesmaster (Pics soon)
Schematic is chock full of problems. I had a gig last night (late reply). Here is the schematic I used and some pics are in the next post. I would imagine this would be high plate with the 220k on CL1, I did not know there was a high plate and low plate version of a bluesmaster. Also the settings w...

Re: Ben Harper in July 2009 GP
The whole GP article talks about a number of Dumbles that Harper uses and where he got them from. But the quote seems to reference a new build. I am also curious about his PAB statement - I understood that PAB was functional whether the OD was engaged or not - or am I missing something?

Ben Harper in July 2009 GP
Quote: GP: Are you using similar gear now that you're on the road as Relentless7, or has it changed since the sessions? Harper:Dumble made me a 100-watt Overdrive Special combo from scratch. It's a new step for me sonically because it offers a preamp boost for both the clean and the overdrive sounds...

You should also confirm that the voltage rating of the insulation exceeds that of the circuit in question.

Re: Fuse voltage ratings
No. I am not sure who actually makes a 120V rated fuse, I understood most were rated 250V anyway. 2A is 2A.

Do you think 1/8" will not be durable? Just wondering as that's what I am planning to use.

Terminal Strips
Just wondering what people use for terminal strips - i.e. adjacent to V1. Could i fabricate those from a piece of glass board and some eyelets? Anyone ever try that?
