Re: Vox AC30CC w/ VVR
Thank you for the reply Dana! Any ideas what's going on there? Also, I have another concern regarding the amp's reverb and tremolo effects: they gradually diminish as the VVR is turned down. I was told the reason for this is there is not enough voltage to drive those circuits. It seemed to be a logi...

Vox AC30CC w/ VVR
Hello everyone, Recently, I had a VVR installed in my Vox AC30CC. It has been really nice getting the power tubes into the mix. When using the Normal Channel, the amp sounds great! However, when plugging into the Top Boost Channel, the sound is relatively quiet and thin. (Almost an "out of phase" ty...

Re: Help With VVR and DPTTP Switch
Thanks paulster! That is what I needed to know! Yes, it is a shame about the switch not being double pole plus the progressive standby switch. I would like to keep the circuit as close to stock while doing my mods. Oh well... I guess it's not that big of a deal. Thanks again!

Re: Help With VVR and DPTTP Switch
Hey Structo, Thank you for the response! The DPTTP is a Double Pole Triple Throw Progressive switch that is supposed to allow for Off-On-On (Off-Standby-Power) capabilities. (It can be found at WestLabs and Allen Amps.) The problem I have is it only has 4 lugs, whereas my Power and Standby connectio...

Looking For UR12 (Dana Hall)
Anyone know how to get a hold of Dana? I've tried via his website, hallamplification.com, and sending a PM here on The Amp Garage. It's been a couple of weeks, and no word... I'd like to install a VVR in my Vox AC30CC to work alongside my DIY Brake Lite! Anyone?

Rocket with TS exp tranny or Dynaclone ?
I'm sorry I don't have a answer for you chopstuck. I'm in somewhat of the same boat. I have a Vox AC30CC that I'm considering swapping out the O/T. Both of the units you mentioned are considerations, along with "regular" Vox trannies from Heyboer and Mercury. I hope someone out there has some info o...
