No, who is them?? id like to find out. its very hard to copyright anything electronic. If I were to take them to court they wouldn stand a chance.

why is it that when I find an a3801 and try to sell it on ebay as a trainwreck output transformer,somebody flags it for copyright infringment??? Isn't it hard to copyright a hotrodded marshall circuit based on a fender circuit , based n a western electric circuit??

Neighbors finally got sick of my wreck. I never play it long in the house, just changing some tone stack caps at about 11 am. Got it sounding real nice. Two hours later the police at at my door with a ticket.

How do I get a pacific transformer for my express?

It sound like the zeners are in series with the screens since they are 39 volt zeners. so you end up droping 39 volts from the total voltage to the screens?
Im sort of fuzzy without a schematic, But maybe figure out screen current and usa a larger resistor to the screen?

Another trick that works good is putting a chock in the centertap.
I have a box of them. I try different ones in a circuit till I find one that drops the voltage I need.. It doesnt get hot like a zener, and also a chock provides filtering .

Ive used some of the musical power supplies power and output transformers. Very nice and efficient. the 0t18 output sounds nice. I am working on another amp with the opt40 watt transformer. At 25 or 30 bucks you cant go wrong.

Kinda grasping at straws but sometimes a speaker wire will cause something this .

I think it would be nice to check the actual impedence of the output tubes. I know with preamp tubes the z is different depending on gain. Higher gain higher z. its not usualy a problem with guitar amps becouse the preamp tubes are working into a much higher impedence. But with output tubes it seems...
