Re: Express relative volume to other amps

Your going to need the 80 watt express like Allyn built then to drown out that pesty drummer or take away his sticks and give him some brushes to play with. Mark Being the happy owner of that kick ass amp, I would have to agree  The express with 2 tubes is not loud enough to hang with a strong...

Re: New 80 Watt Wreck done!

I always joke with Allyn and say the most brilliant thing KF ever did was be the first to make amps geared to the large lawyer/Orthodontist clientele! They are in furniture cabinets that look like they should be on display not on stage, there is no back panel to protect the tubes for traveling to gi...

Re: New 80 Watt Wreck done!

hell yes! I will be tracking some stuff at Electric Lady in 2 weeks with a band... I plan to bring this beast. I'll get some clips together. Before listening, check your bank accounts. If electric lady hasn't changed since I was there 3-4 years ago, bring your own power conditioner. REALLY B...

Re: New 80 Watt Wreck done!

the amp is mine. holy sh!t. no joke. Allyn. this has to go into production. it is unbelievable. I cannot stop playing it. holy sh!t. It has all the tone I love from an express, but the fullness of a plexi on the low end. Express amps always sound like small amps to me... they don't have much sub and...

Re: New Sensor EL34 Mullard reissue rewievs??

I usually prefer the JJ E34L's from ARS and second would be SED Winged "C's". The JJ's are great in Marshall with the bias run a tad cold and the SED's are GOD in my hiwatts.
