Re: Welagen Overdrive Special
That's a really nice build! What material and thickness did you use for the chassis? And is that the same thickness you use for the Steel String Singer chassis?

Re: Stereo Dumblelator relay boost/loop switch. Little help?
Note that if you switch the 'solo boost' it will switch also the effects level. So if you have trailing delays, you will switch the level as well. It might be better to set the solo boost in the "send-part" of the loop.

Re: Strange volume problem using rack effect in passive loop
The TC has a low impedance input circuit that is way too low for the high impedance passive loop and the TC will load the output of the preamp. The standard boss pedals have a high impedance input as you are also able to use them in front of the amp. You could try to put a boss pedal in front (in se...

Beautiful build!
Today the caps have much more capacitance per size than already a few years ago, so estimation of capacitance based on size will likely be an over-estimate.

Re: Pro's and Cons to DC regulated Filiment Heaters
For the iso-transformers, look at their max voltage swing. The voltage swing at the input of the dumblelator can be quite high, way over 2 volts.

Re: Transformer choices?
There is one factor that is ignored here and that is the duty cycle of the two sides of the CT. If you make a Power supply using the CT and diodes per side, you will have a RMS value of 0.5 per side. Doing a full wave, bridge rectifier with both sides of the HT secondaries in parallel, you get a RMS...

Re: Cathodyne inverter as a balanced output?
Keep in mind that the frequency of the high pass filter made by the coupling (output) caps and the load impedance is sufficiently low. With a load of 600Ohms you will need 47uF to obtain a high pass frequency of 5.6Hz. E.g. I think this is also a tricky part of the D-lator send circuit. The send pot...

Re: how much use are 1R bias current sensing resistors
It does not matter if there is any other resistance. The current through the resistor will be the same in all cases (all resistive components will be in series). And you will be measuring the tension (voltage) acros the resistor and as the input resistance of the multimeter is very high, other resis...
