V4+V5 = silence
V3+V4+V5 = silence
V2+V3+V4+V5 = small hum
V1+V2+V3+V4+V5 = big hum, hiss and crickets
sound is a good quality after all

I think I know what is the problem :cry:

Rooster - thanks my friend :) 6n2p-ew is the same as ecc83 and 12ax7 only filament is a little bit diferent: 6,3V on pin 4 and 5. Pin 9 is a internal shield. I rewired V1 and ecc 83 is the same noisy as 6n2p but the sound is warmer. Ill think about filament switch on V1 I bought something today - it...

Humfighting part 2

after replaced rest of pots 50Hz hum still live :?
I replaced V1 shield wires - yellow wires are copper shielded - less microfonic
When I took off V1 and V2 hum desapeared. Now Im thinking about DC filament to preamp tubes
any sugestions?

thanks Mr Roooo :) after long fight I found (probably) the source of hum. F****** pots! I replaced vol pot. Now power hum is a half less, unfortunately I havent the rest pots to replace. Today I wisited electronic flea market. I didnt find any old school 1M pots! But I find some other things :) :wink:

I am not disapeared yet :)
Now I fight against hiss/hum. My NOS pots havent grounding shafts! After eliminated that ground loop hum still egsist :cry:
any sugestions?

Your friend professional player play gig without PA? its very strange to me :shock:
enyway - to increase amp vol you may:
change OT trany from 6600 to 5200 ohm
use big number of speakers

rooster - my amp work very good! (see pic 121) 8) look at my first post :lol: pin 9 its a internal tube shield grounded to brass heaters are 4 and 5 preamp tubes arent 12AX7 or ECC83 :shock: There are 6n2p-ew USSR military equipment surprised? :wink: BTW my wood faceplate will be about 4mm thick

I hadnt time on this week but amp working again :) Woodworking and V1, 2pin to vol wire is shield wire replaced

I have a question: wood front pannel will be gluing to brass or not? :roll:
