I like the NOS G.E. EL84 (6BQ5). They have a nice balanced sound and good life span. I hope this helps.

Same here. I have an EV15L that I use every so often. Sounds huge but has a nice balance. The EV12L's big brother. I also have a JBL 15" (can't remember the model) and the EV is definitely better to my ear for what I like to hear. The Altec's are cool but I personally get tired of their tone very fa...

Re: Tube sockets?

I just had this happen yesterday on a Mesa/Boogie Mk IIB. The PI tube was an Eh 12AX7. It cracked and the amp obviously has vintage sockets. I believe they are Cinch sockets.

So as the old saying goes "Size matters"!!!!!~

This is the link for the polystyrenes- http://www.partsconnexion.com/catalog/C ... sFilm.html

They do sound smooth but they are definitely fragile. I hope this helps if you are still looking for them.

Re: Question about Pt for D-lite

It just so happens that I do not have the Vibrolux trannies. I have some others but not the Vibrolux set. I guess the best route at this point is to order the set right from the Brown Note. Thank you for the heads up! When will they be available?
