Hi, I'm looking to get back into building tube amps, but I no longer have access to a drill press or the other tools needed to make turret boards. At home I have all the electronics tools I'll need, and a few basic mechanical tools like drills, saws etc. I don't really want to splash a load of cash ...

Is there anything wrong with just sticking them upside down on the board and wiring them point to point? In the few amps I've built, which have all been two or three channels, I've always used "White-Tack" (its putty for putting up posters etc, and sets hard) to hold the relay pins up on the board, ...
