Re: Why build heavy hard wood TW head cabs?
I lug mine about to gigs etc. and decided to go for "serviceable" rather than "beautiful". I'm sure it's the only one like it in France

Re: which is better for lower volume cleans, Express or Liverpul
I've got a Ceriatone Liverpool, and the problem is that where it sounds great, it has to be loud. If you only want clean tones, maybe a different amp is the solution? I use mine even at gigs with the speaker turned to the wall :) +1 In my rehearsal space, I keep my speaker facing the wall about 8-1...

Re: Too old for concerts? (rant)
I tend to be in the same camp - I practically don't go any more to concerts (except the rare ones I play at
).
Last one I think was Deep Purple last year - terrific, but too loud (and I'd forgotten my earplugs...).
Mumble mutter humbug.... (I'm 50)

Re: Hi Everyone... 1st Post here... Liverpool question
I use a wah and a delay in my Liverpool and they work just fine. I leave all my overdrive stuff at home, though - the volume control does that bit

I love that tweed with the wood face panel - very similar to what I would have done with mine if I'd had any skill with tweed...

Re: Home-made cab for you to scoff :-D
I was just going to recommend the truck bed liner. I forgot what amp maker does it, but there is one that does red, blue, black and probably some other colors in a roll on truck bed liner. And Doc's looks good in the black texture as well. Rusty, it's a fine cab, and I love how you decided to keep ...

Home-made cab for you to scoff :-D
I hesitated about posting a pic of my home-made "road cab" for my Ceriatone Liverpool; it is pretty risible compared with the fantastic work done by many of this board's members. However, my approach is practical - the amp is lugged about in my car to gigs and rehearsals, so I need to protect it but...

Re: New to the board---and I have a few questions!
I've got a Liverpool clone. I threw everything out of my pedalboard except wah, tuner and delay.
The Pool is I think a bit quieter than the Express, but I certainly don't need to attenuate it for gigs. Of course, it depends what style of music you play...

Re: Trainwreck combo?
I've got a Liverpull with PPIMV and half-power. The half-power doesn't seem to have any effect at all on the overall volume, although I suspect this may be a fault. You'll need the MV at just a smidgen above zero in your basement, probably - it's one loud amp... :D A half-power switch is going to h...
