Got my amp today, but there seems to be an issue. With the volume on the guitar off, there's a high pitched squeal. Then when I turn it up there's tons of crackle. Especially when I try to play. I tapped the tubes... didn't seem to be that. I have an email into Nik. Anyone have any thoughts? The ton...

Yep yep, that makes sense. Per my other post on this, Nik did some testing and changed the caps to improve the tone for me. I was looking into some tubes, but I'm going to wait until I get the amp before changing them and buying tubes.

It's hard to know what I want if I haven't played Nik's amp. It should already be on the way here. So, I'll have to just wait and see. If I get the toneslut trannys I'll just sell the ones I got from Nik here or on TGP.

I think the point of this thread was that he wanted to buy a real Dumble. If not, there are a few amp builders that make Dumble inspired amps. A freind of a friend just got a new ODS made by him. I haven't seen it, so I can't say for sure. I trust my friend who told me and played the amp.

Dumble still builds amps, but it's pretty rare and you need to know how to get in touch with him. It's pretty low key and not cheap. There's one on ebay now. The seller is on the gear page. If you're serious, call him and make an offer.
