Re: Common Mode DC Power Filter
Sound of silence . Is that a reference to what will never be posted ? I may never do a post power amp based on a pair 300b , using Surface as a pre-amp , as what was on my mind when I first captured the CM concept. I may, however, do a post power amp, based on a pair of 6L6 , which would not requir...

Re: Common Mode DC Power Filter
when i see this "i'm first"..(to insert somewhere one component of 0.2 $) .. in a world of billion people.. for sure you are not first...in anything, this is for sure. NHF  then "first published" on the internet...this can be also a question.. just to make things realistic. anyway in 2010 was...

Re: Common Mode DC Power Filter
no riddles.
is a real power filter , nulls the a/c ripple via the common mode rejection.
i post videos to show proof of concept.
I'll do a block diagram , then see how this plays.....
.... and as a side note , i still do led bias on all my gain stages ....

Re: Dangerous Posting?? "Common Mode DC Power Filter"
I should not mention the 300b does not have a cathode. Well , for example, some guitar amp builds do use dc filaments, like the Valve Junior. But one of my design goals, is to use this circuit to obsolete other power supply filters, like switching regulators, and linear regulators. Efficiency goes u...

Re: Common Mode DC Power Filter
Blencowe already done that.
But, I will post more after I receive my last order of parts from my vendor.
This circuit not yet fully complete.

Re: Common Mode DC Power Filter
..... and allow MerlinB to have it ?
I don't think so.
Maybe as a PM.

Re: Dangerous Posting?? "Common Mode DC Power Filter"
No, I don't normally post schematics, to ensure my design work does not fall into the wrong hands, like MerlinB.
You want to throw me off, go ahead....
It's a real circuit, when I was thinking of a more painless way to provide a clean power source for something like filament power for a 300b.

Common Mode DC Power Filter
https://youtu.be/-HHfrJvo3aU this circuit null the A/C ripple voltage, but also acts as a passive voltage regulator. Bear in mind, this is all done with injecting an error correction signal, into the back end of the DC rectifier. Since there are no active devices, no transistors, no "IC linear regul...
