Re: Upside down head
Thanks for your reply, Sorry about the confusion by lighting i meant and matchless lighting, ac-15 essentially. It is a ceriatone kit and it seems he has quite good knowledge of layouts. It will be placed in hard wood cab which will hopefully not bubble the finish. Being a smaller amp I'm hoping the...

Hey Guys,
I just finished my first amp and it was going to be a cab but moved on to being a head, the issue i have is will it get to hot to be hung upside down? its a lightning amp. Should i work on reversing it or leave it hanging?

Lightning Tubes
Hey Guys,
I'm about to tube up my Lightning amp and was wondering if you guys think i should go all JJ? I'll do the EL84 JJ Tesla's but what about the 12AX7 and the rectifier? are the golden dragon tubes worth the price?
Thanks Joel

Has anyone at all used shellaced wire with success?

Copper Wire
Hey Guys, I went to my local electronics shop today to buy some solid core wire to do some heater runs. They didn't have any insulated wire that was solid core, instead they gave me some cooper wire that had a resin on it that you simply scrap back to solder. Is this going to be good enough to do he...

Indicator Bulb
Hey Guys,
I see in all the schematics that the indicator bulb is on the end of the heater run, is this necessary because as my amp wiring is going so far it would be much easier to paralel it off the front of the heater run. Is this going to cause any noise issues?
Thanks
