Red/Green and Red/Yellow 124v I'm glad i have a usable Transformer and tapping the HV is the course. So I'm guessing the tap point, which I've draw in orange is at the filter cap B+ point? and the other area of confusion is this fill/1 fill/2. In the drawing there is no connection point. I assume 6....

i rehooked up the reds still no beep and noticed .055 the rest of the ohm readings are on the "Tue May 13, 2025 10:34 am" post at the bottom.

501426.jpg I'd like to build the SLO-Nakid 6L6 40 Watt, I've accquired a 501426 PT from a Wurlitzer organ that had a pair of 6l6s as a novice builder I'm not to sure about the HV windings of which to use, there isn't to much info on them on line. A good filter cap will be room/ambient temperature. A cap that is passing current will be warm of hot. While probing the 20uf cap on the left i heard crackle, chopsticked the cath and lo and behold looseness. more soldering, now no crackle. i just need to get a practice for three hours and test the...

I'm using it through a v4 cab 8ohms one creamback 75 amongst the eminence 50's with a drummer on the third hour it gets the outside of the power tranny hts-9144 62c i put a fan on it and it keeps it to 50-55c. so last night i took it out of it's shell and played through a single 16ohm 75w for an hou...

Transformer heat to hot?
So the rocket i built sounds great but gets to 62c after a couple of hours or faster depending on the volume i use it at. I'm assuming that the NOS Mallory, CDE caps i bought off ebay 40uf-450v and 20uf 450v might be to blame. can i test this or might something else be wrong?. i used the BOM and lay...

Thanks so much. I played for an hour and it was phenomenal. and the transformer was still cold. got me wondering why the rocket i built power transformer gets so hot 62c after 3 hours.
