In some of the reference materials I see "heavy buss wire" used for grounding, etc. What size wire would be appropriate for this use? I imagine that this is a solid wire?
Speaker wires ... what size should be used?

Not sure, but you might want to bring one of those "outlet checkers" with you to verify everything is wired correctly up to the outlet, and also to verify that the ground is good.

Sorry if this is rather long, just trying to get all the info down. Amp is an Ampeg J12J Reverbojet, 1968 or so. When it was brought to me by my nephew the volume was very low. This is an 18W amp, with much less volume than a 5W. A look inside showed a fried electrolytic, and testing other electroly...
