Turrets on PCBs - components on

I have put the components on. The turrets stand the heat very well. It's not beautiful , but it proves the design. At least , swaged turrets with soldering on the back are pretty strong.

Re: Finally I decide to use TURRETS ON PCB approach.

The ribbon connections are for photo relay control board only, no signal . The pcb has 2oz copper layer. The hairlines are for photo relay control signal.

Finally I decide to use TURRETS ON PCB approach.

Finally I decided to use hybrid approach, turrets on PCB. It turns out well good, it's like a 3D surface mount for big components, don't need a service window or remove the board to repair and modify. Everything is on the top.can't wait to put some resistor sand caps on it. https://i.ibb.co/gJNDR7b/...

PCB with turret?

This a prototype board for my new amp build BOW Morse 6V6(3 12ax7, 1 6v6gt, 5W) with solid relays. It's a mess I know, so I'm thinking to design a PCB board, but the PCB boards are not friendly for repairing and modifying, What about a hybrid approch? PCB with turret ? PCB for control components onl...

Re: New 5W tube amp with Hi gain channel

Franckly, I can't tell you plus I almost always read here that there's nothing like playing it. My 2 cents? As - at least here, in France - the market seems to go with a very few "first line players" I suggest that you make your prototype available to all the very good players you'll be able to rea...
