You are so helpful. Thank you. So, if I take it to a tech to be rewired, what is the drawback of having a mismatch of the 2 16 ohm speakers with a transformer for a single 16ohm? Thanks again for your time and help.

Thanks Sluckey. The existing combo has a 16 ohm speaker. The cab has a 16 ohm as well. If I can rewire the jack to enable both speakers will I need to do anything regarding the transformer impedance?

I am not technical so please bear with me. I have a Crate Vintage Club 20 112 combo. It has a jack to use an external speaker. When I connect the external cab that speaker works, but the speaker in the combo is silent. I have been told switching to a different style jack might fix the problem. Appar...
