Nice looking components.....You might consider buying a cheap tubes for start up / debugging...Hate to waste a nice tube on the first power up...

I have them in my Vibroverb. Also have a pair of GE 6L6's. I cant tell much difference between them. I would say the GE's are lilttle warmer, but imho the Groove Tubes are a good deal.

PRR, Excellent write up !!. You got me thinking...When I was a kid my dad made a optical transmitter using an op amp to modulate a light bulb. In those days the buld was a 3v bulb and I remeber that he told me that he set the bulb to run at 1.5v and then vary the signal up or down to match the input...

Well the reason I was wanting to use 6V6's is that both my Vibroverb and Plexi clone can get really loud.....I also allready have a tweed delux pt. Hi all, I have been building amps for a couple of years now. I have built a Marshall 1987 Plexi clone, Fender Vibroverb clone, and a Fender champ. I am now looking at buildinga 6V6 ODS. I copied a visio from the Normster for a 6V6 ODS , but I cant find any schematics....Has anybody built that amp? J...
