Mojave Coyote Amp Quest....

Greetings... can anyone tell me if this amp employs NFB?
And is there any schematic floating abouts?
Lastly, what did they do to the 'regular' version to come up with the Hi-Gain version of the Coyote?
Thanks all~

Re: In Search of OT for 60's SANO Guitar Amp

Put the 5Y3 back in and I bet the amp works again! You also need to note that the filaments in a 5U4 need 1 more amp of current over the 5Y3. I doubt the amps power transformer has anywhere near that extra current to dispense. In a way your lucky if it turns out that the 5U4 was bad because if it w...

Re: In Search of OT for 60's SANO Guitar Amp

Greetings, I'm still in dire need of an OT to replace the stock 'EP-3037' that's blown. The amp sounded fantastic & rockin' until I stupidly changed the rectifier from the required 5Y3 to a 5U4. Just after turning the amp on, the amp went dead,,, power was still on, but no sound. And, there was a sm...

Re: In Search of OT for 60's SANO Guitar Amp

The amp turns on, proven tubes all light up. After I smoked something, and returned back to the required 5Y3. Initially, after turning it on, there was a loud midrange noise,,, & the 7591's & especially the 5Y3, got scorching hot rather quickly.... no red-plating going on... Fast forward, now I turn...

Re: In Search of OT for 60's SANO Guitar Amp

Sorry, no known schematic except for this one that has a 5U4, instead of the 5Y3 that the amp came with. It's the only schematic to pop up when i searched for "DUAL Channel Amplifier". If I had taken a peek at the chassis, I would've seen that it was labeled 5Y3.... Hence, that's the reason I swappe...

Re: In Search of OT for 60's SANO Guitar Amp

Thanks Helmholtz,,, is it safe to use a tranny with a CT of 6.6k ohms, & a wattage of 20 or 25 watts, like a Hammond 1760H?
Thnx ॐ💃🪕

In Search of OT for 60's SANO Guitar Amp

Greetings..... I contacted Hammond & purchased a 1750Q tranny, which they recommended, but is about 4 times the size of the one I blew, & a out 10 times heavier. It simply won't fit, & my intuition tells me there's some other quality tranny that'll suit my needs. Mercury wants $350 to rebuild it, bu...

Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb RI Question.....

Greetings & happy holiday to all~ My question for a buddy of mine is is there any way via some internal tweak of getting Reverb out of the 1st Channel, so there's global verb, so to speak?? If possible, sketch it out for my tech to look at & hopefully be able to pull off.

Many thanks in advance!!

Ampeg R12 Questions....

Greetings,,, first off I thought they'de put different value resistors on the inputs, but maybe that how it was done back then..... Mainly, are there any not terribly invasive tweaks, either to preamp section, or further down the line to give it some more OD kick? Also the 6V6's are running really h...

Maybe you could try a tilt control to.get what you need and preserve gain.
Is it a difficult, overly invasive conversion for a tech (not me) who knows his stuff? Tilt Control?? Not familiar..
