Hi, I bought a Bogner Shiva recently and though it sounds ok I want the gain channel to open up a bit on the high end, it sounds rather dull now. What exactly do you guys mean with a blackface preamp with a el34 power section?
Isn't this Germino amp just a take of a 5f6/jtm45 preamp into a el34 section?
It sure sounds great tough, this player has a great touch!!

What about wima mks4 caps in a blackface circuit? I know they are polyester caps, but how do they stand the test against 715p's or m 150's?
