So you are using an attenuator with a pair of Alnicos on an SSS? :lol Tony Those poor tiny little voice coils !!! Edit : These specs...

Re: SSS known for flabby low end?
I'll record some stuff when I get a chance. Again, I doubt it's an issue directly w Bill Dunham's interpretation, but I figured there are more experienced folks than me when it comes to the topology of the SSS.

My hypothesis is that sub frequencies are polluting/distorting the low end...but I am no expert. I am pretty sure this is a symptom of the circuit itself, ...

I don't really understand the logi...

Re: SSS Rock/Jazz --> Mid switch mod?
Hi welcome to TAG! I dont know on which model SSS the Texas Flood is based on, nor have I seen the inside of the Texas Flood amp so I cant give clues on the sound, I only have expierence with the SSS002 build. Why do you want a mid boost alongside with a deep switch. Deep switch circuitry cuts mid....

[Advice needed] SSS 002 Rock/Jazz conversions + other tonestack mods?
Hey all, I recently got a Texas Flood 100W from Bill at Sebago Sound. It's the best amp I have ever played, and I will own it forever (if you see this, thanks again Bill). It is dynamic, expressive, well-constructed, and all the other buzz words you can think of. I'm in love with it. I still want to...
