Re: Treble pot on RF #102

The treble pot in 102 when I worked on it was a mouser/alpha 250k linear that measured 236K. Before it was converted to a skyline EQ it would have had the fender 30% ish pot. The mid and bass pots were also Mouser, 250k 15%, and the bass pot measured 400K. A 250K pot measuring 400K is very strange ...

Re: Express build OT phasing question

Back to the Express build, I realize there has to still be some tweaking to be done. I use a Marshall Power Brake as my attenuator. It has a fan in it I've learned to use this as a means of detecting ultrasonic oscillation in an amplifier that can't be heard. Set the Power Brake to a high degree of...

Re: How stable can you get an Express?

Re: Anyone tried stem cell therapy?

I tried stem cell therapy for my knee pain, and honestly, it went great! They used stem cells from my fat, took about three hours in total, and I felt pretty much fine afterward. There was minimal discomfort, and the recovery was a lot quicker than I expected compared to knee surgery. Within a few w...

Re: Dental filling radio receiver

Here's the story of how Lucille ball found Japanese spies with her filling radio. https://www.wearethemighty.com/entertainment/how-lucille-ball-exposed-a-wwii-japanese-spy-plot-with-her-dental-fillings/ She went from a dentist to meeting the President of the United States. If that doesn't prove tha...

Re: Hide Glue Tips/tricks?

Of course, tackling the corners last is still the golden rule, and with a bit of practice, they really do come out clean. It’s not as intimidating as it sounds, especially with a hot pot keeping the glue at the right consistency. Honestly, for anyone chasing that authentic vintage vibe, hide glue is...
