Would you mind sharing your amps settings?

I was wondering how folks set the Brite switch on their Express? I'm very curious on what you when using single coil vs humbuckers. Glenn seems to get a really cool, almost single coil sound when he sets up his Express with his Les Paul, but I'm wondering if this would be too Brite with single coils.

I was wondering if anyone has looked at the output with an oscilloscope to see what was going on, eg. sag or waveform collapsing at max output?

I have been working on my Express Clone for sometime now, tweaking and tweaking. I have tried different Output transformers, tubes and speakers and have settled on something that sounds and "feels" great. I use the Pacific OT, with EL34s going into an open back cab with a G1265. Glenn, Sounds fantastic! If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious about a couple things: a.) Did you use a power attenuator and if so what kind? b.) What schematic did you base your clone on? c.) Which output x-former did you use? d.) What was the EQ curve you added on the low end, because it smoked. ...

That was great to listen to. I have seen Brad play out and it looks like he is using a TW, but this wasn't mentioned on the interview. Does anybody know if he is still using the TW and what model it is?

I too have seen bits and pieces of the SSS kind of revealed, but to date, the one part I see missing is the Lo/Hi step filtering. There are a lot of hints, but that's all. Even if someone were to publish the center notch freq ,Qs and db cuts, this would provide some guidance on how to move forward. ...

The chassis looks great! Now I have to ask, how is it going to get filled? I don't see any SSS schematics around to actually build the amp?

Hi Folks, I've been listening and reading a lot about output transformers and have come to the conclusion that amps that use power amp distortion rely to a large degree on the OT for their tone.
