Gentlemen thank you very much for your input.
I'm going for originalty in this build as best I can without sacrificing too much on performance, tone, noise, etc. so I think I will stick with what appears to be the original Fender grounding scheme as described in Martin's last post.

Hi, new member here and "paint by numbers" type of builder... I have a question on filter cap wiring that I can’t figure out from schematic or pictures. Which of the four filter caps have their negative leads connected together on the back of the board? I know that it really does not matter as they ...
