Power resistors
Like Tom States, there are 2 Big Power resistors 5w that Provide the +-16v that Heat up a Lot.
Watch out for Bad Soldes Joints especially ob those two resistors.

Another HOTROD hotrodded
Hi, I think you had good ideas. To me it's that simple: The amp is not a great design! The 47uF at the first stage is far to big, so any preceeding stage cannot handle the bass. So good that you lowered that value (try 4.7uF). Another problem with the design is the position of the eq after the secon...

Reverb
The best place to install reverb is after the switch, right before the power tube.
You could use the single tube reverb which was discussed a lot and works great. IT can be found in the files section I think.

Knobs and settings
When recording I use a Shure Sm57 for the nearfield and a Kondensermic for the room. In this case I mixed just a little bit of room on to the mix and almost took 100% of the nearfield. Effectwise I just added some reverb and delay for the solo tracks, the rest is guitars and fingers. The knobsetting...

Like it's supposed to be
Thank you for your answer and let me say that I wired the LNFB exactly like it's supposed to be, straight from the junction "under" the Plate resistor. So, the schematic shows it the wrong way. The 220K/500pF is wired directly to the grid which to me was the best way to have as near as possible to t...

Re: Violeta - a single Ended Story
Markus, you are right it's 2 to 4nF depending on your Taste.
Thank you for the correction.
At the moment I don't have more Clips available. What are you interested in?
@10thTx: could you correct the schematics accordingly?
Thanks in Advance.

Re: Violeta - a single Ended Story

What a great drawing. Cool and Thank you. I tried so much to write clear but OK, here are the corrections: 1. Larry? I worked so hard on my Ford chops
Thank you for your kind words. It's great that you tell me, you hear something carltonish but I worked so hard on my ford chops, but nobody can hear it  I love the music of Larry and obviously his music was and is a big inspiration to my playing. When I read your post, I instantly thought of a ...

Schematic and Thank You
Thank you all for your answers and Ideas so far. I just finished drawing the schematic from the actual circuit, rev4. I hope you can read it because it's drawn by hand. Geezer: Thank you for your idea on aligning the volumes. Because I ran out of ideas, I just limited the signal by a 330K Resistor w...

Wattage
Thank you. Yeah it's about 3.5 Watts due to the low plate voltage of about 235V but it's louder than I would play when I practise, so loud enough for at home. I use the 6BQ5 but also tried the 6AQ5 which I use with an adapter. The 6AQ5 is not as loud as the BQ5 but it sound more like a 6V6, ie. clea...

Soundfile
Here is a soundfile I just recorded, a simple Blues with a lespaul type guitar on clean and lead channel. All guitars are recorded with the Violeta, the les paul and a sm57 and a room microphone 2 feet away from the speaker. A little Reverb and delay that's it.
