Re: 6g6-B Normal Channel

For sure, the intent was more to just have like a plug and play pre amp.
Put in front of a another tube amp, or into a rack situation (If need be).

Re: 6g6-B Normal Channel

sorry if that was a poor question.
Was just a thought that had popped in my head.
Came across the tech21 blonde and thought it would be cool if it was actually a tube driven fender tone stack pedal.

Re: 6g6-B Normal Channel

Could the Normal channel Preamp section be built just itself as just that?

Re: 6g6-B Normal Channel

I don't know the dimensions of the Frontman, but I've built the Bass channel of the 6G6-B into a Blues Junior chassis, so you could use that for comparison. But plan carefully. The bottom edge of the chassis can get a little tight with 4 tubes, an output jack, a fuse and an A/C wire. By the way, ha...

Re: 6g6-B Normal Channel

Do you guys think I could fit it in a frontman 25r chassis?

I saw in another thread someone build both channels into a slightly larger SS bass chassis.

6g6-B Normal Channel

Hello, This is my first post and a total newb builder. My name is Dan and I am from the PNW. I considering building a Bassman like amp. This would be my first amp build. I know should probably start on like a champ or something similar. But, I would really like to only build the Normal channel of th...
